Listed in the 1888 Klackner catalog: Klackner was the leading American publisher of fine art prints in the period, and published all the leading artists, including Winslow Homer. Bauer's etchings sold for $4 to $30 while Homer's prices ranged from $15 to $30! A Bauer etching is in the collection of the Parrish Art Museum, Southampton, NY.
